Currently, most tournaments across major regions have begun to enter the final stages. Many teams have already secured their spots in the playoffs or can be considered to have concluded their journeys in Summer 2022. However, there are still many notable matches. A prime example is the “Super Classic” match between T1 and Gen.G Esports as part of the LCK Summer 2022.

This is also considered one of the toughest weeks for Faker and his teammates in this year’s LCK Summer. During this week, T1 faced two very strong opponents, KT Rolster (KT) and Gen.G Esports (Gen.G). In the clash that determined the top position, T1 was unable to overcome Chovy and his teammates.

Recently, the rankings of the strongest teams for week 7 have been announced. Accordingly, T1 has dropped straight down to 4th place in this ranking, only ahead of JD Gaming (JDG). Among the top 5 teams, Gen.G has risen to the top of the table after a resounding victory against two strong opponents, DRX and T1. Following closely behind is Top Esports (TES) – a team that is also among the top 2 in the LPL Summer 2022.

In the top 5 teams, three spots belong to teams from the LPL region. Following TES is the “Royal Legion” Royal Never Give Up (RNG). However, with JDG only facing a weak opponent, Anyone’s Legend, in the final match, even if RNG wins all three remaining matches, it will be nearly impossible for them to break into the top 2.

As for T1, despite not achieving a satisfactory result in week 7, Faker and his teammates will still be the strongest contenders for the LCK Summer 2022 championship. This is because Gen.G has only defeated T1 once throughout the 2022 season so far. Therefore, if the T1 players learn from their recent defeat, they can definitely find a way to decode Chovy and his teammates.

There are still matches ahead that are expected to be incredibly challenging for both T1 and Gen.G, as well as the teams in the LPL. But according to many opinions, the current rankings can be considered to provide the most comprehensive view of the teams that could be championship contenders for both the domestic title and the upcoming World Championship 2022.
