T1 suffered a disappointing loss against Team Dynamics in the group stage of the LCK Summer 2020. This defeat left T1 stagnant in the rankings and exposed many issues in their gameplay execution.
However, on a personal level, the rare bright spot that the fans of the reigning LCK champions can cling to is their captain – Faker. It was this star who salvaged T1’s embarrassing defeat with an extraordinary performance in the first game playing as Corki.

In this match, in addition to being the MVP with an impressive KDA of 8/2/6, Faker also left the global League of Legends community in awe with a highlight moment where he dodged Sylas’s crowd control ability in a remarkably spontaneous manner.
This situation occurred in the mid-game, when Dynamics attempted to invade T1’s jungle. Faker tried to control his jungle area with the support of Kennen, while Sylas in Beyond’s hands attempted to flank and catch Faker with his E ability.
However, even without vision of Sylas at the moment he cast his ability, Faker executed a highly instinctive “slight dodge” that allowed him to avoid the crowd control effect, then used W to safely glide away.

Some gamers also analyzed that prior to this, Corki had spotted Sylas appearing on the left flank, so he was prepared with a countermeasure. But even after spotting Sylas, reacting to a situation out of sight clearly demonstrates Faker’s combination of quick reflexes, extensive competitive experience, and brilliant thinking.

Faker’s performance in game 1 can only be summed up in two words: “flawless”. However, for various reasons, T1 did not choose a carry champion for Faker in the final game, opting instead for a support character named Lulu, leading once again to a bitter experience while pursuing a resource allocation strategy centered around a single point.
