Recently, revelations about T1 from CEO Joe Marsh during a talk show with Doublelift and LS have attracted significant attention from the League of Legends community. Information about Faker rejecting an offer worth nearly 500 billion from LPL or Gumayusi wanting to “show management” for not letting him play instead of Teddy has thrilled T1 fans and the League of Legends community alike.

T1 CEO reveals how Faker spends money and the offers from LPL for the “Chairman”

Among the topics shared by T1 CEO, one part that surely piqued the interest of T1 fans is the living and training conditions of the players. After all, everyone knows T1 is one of the most successful teams in the LCK right now. Therefore, it’s clear that this organization must invest heavily in facilities to provide the best training conditions for the players.

But T1 CEO revealed that when he first visited the T1 gaming house, he was shocked: “You guys (Doublelift, LS) have no idea. When I first visited the T1 gaming house, it was 45 minutes from Seoul and I was shocked that a three-time World Champion had to live in such poor conditions. From the furniture to the computers, everything was incredibly messy, and the only thing that let you know it was T1 was the trophy cabinet with all their titles.”

As of now, Joe Marsh also mentioned that the team’s facilities have improved significantly: “Currently, we have a gym, a lounge, and the players can karaoke and more. Additionally, there are massage chairs, a sports psychologist, a dentist, skin care… We need to prepare the best for our players, especially when they compete in long BO5 matches. Moreover, I want the players to not only be able to play until 21 years old. I want them to have the longest careers possible, until 30 or 35 years old. That is my goal.”

With the recent revelations from CEO Joe Marsh, the past World Championships of T1 hold even more significance. With substantial investments in facilities, it’s no wonder that T1 players always maintain optimal health. Particularly, as fans are aware, T1 has strict COVID-19 prevention regulations, so Faker and his teammates were not affected by COVID-19 until the recent Spring LCK final.
