T1 Officially Speaks Out About Transfer Drama with Zeus
Accordingly, in the early hours of November 22 (Vietnam time), T1 made an official statement regarding the situation with Zeus. The team’s CEO, Joe Marsh, asserted that T1 has always tried to retain Zeus and maintain the ZOFGK roster. In fact, according to what Joe Marsh shared in an AMA published on FmKorea, T1 was ready for Zeus to propose a financial figure as needed.

However, the representative requested T1 to allow him to become a Free Agent to explore his market value. Additionally, according to the CEO, Zeus’s side also demanded that all negotiations be completed by 3 PM (November 19). T1 announced they were en route to a face-to-face meeting, only to be informed by Zeus shortly after that the matter had concluded.

Furthermore, Joe Marsh admitted that the choice of Doran to replace Zeus was unanimously agreed upon by all three coaches (who had completed negotiations with Mata but had not announced it yet). “He is the player that the coaches desire to have in the lineup for the upcoming season to replace Zeus,” CEO Joe Marsh stated.
He also affirmed, “T1 will always have a home for Zeus” and mentioned that the legacy left by this player will be associated with the history of the 2024 World Championship champions.

Meanwhile, ThePlay (Zeus’s representative) also spoke out immediately after CEO Joe Marsh’s AMA was published. Specifically, ThePlay asserted: “Many aspects that T1 presented are exaggerated and inaccurate.”

Fans Upset with Zeus’s Behavior and Representation in Transfer Drama with T1
However, according to fans, Zeus’s representatives should have provided a response before T1’s CEO’s AMA was published. Clearly, the ongoing drama significantly affects Zeus’s image in the eyes of fans. Yet, ThePlay remained silent until T1 spoke out before making any counter-movement.
Some fans even discovered that ThePlay set a deadline of 3 PM for T1 and claimed it was a “request from HLE.” However, HLE later denied this information.

Additionally, it is evident that Zeus is not entirely “innocent.” He could have pressured or requested T1’s representatives for time. Yet he did nothing. According to many, it is clear that Zeus is also willing to leave, and negotiating with T1 seems just like a formality he had to follow.
One more thing that can be easily noticed: the transfer drama may continue for some time, and this is truly unfortunate for the greatest collective in the history of League of Legends.
