After many back-and-forth moments that had fans anxiously wondering, “Will we dissolve or not?”, SBTC Esports has recently made its first official announcement regarding its future on the team’s Facebook Fanpage.
Accordingly, this team has officially decided to continue its operations and is ready to participate in the summer 2021 League of Legends tournament (VCS). In this announcement, SBTC Esports also introduced its new sponsor, Ampverse – a brand specializing in developing entertainment platforms around the Esports sector.
Securing a new sponsor is believed to be the main reason SBTC Esports will not dissolve, as their economic concerns have temporarily been addressed. Additionally, along with the announcement “SE, please stay!”, the management of this team also committed to not repeating the mistakes that disappointed fans as seen in the last season.

With SBTC Esports remaining in VCS, the team is also entering a “transition” phase, as it is forecasted to undergo a complete overhaul to improve the quality of its roster. As Zeros recently shared, SE is currently targeting Meliodas and Palette to reinforce the lineup (to replace Yijin – who is likely to leave, and Slay – who is currently dealing with many family obligations).
Furthermore, SE has also held its first recruitment session for the SBTC Academy lineup, which is expected to officially participate in the VCSB tournament this summer. After the rain comes the sunshine, and hopefully, SE will seize this opportunity for a more spectacular comeback, at least worthy of the status of a superstar team as they were once praised.
