The Star Guardian skins were introduced by Riot to the game League of Legends: Wild Rift on January 21. The champions receiving these skins in the first wave include: Ezreal, Lulu, Jinx, Janna, and the “Riot darling” Lux.
The original storyline of the Star Guardians began to be developed in 2017 with names like Lux, Janna, Lulu, Poppy, and Jinx. Subsequently, other Star Guardian groups were established by Riot starting in 2019. The only difference for the Star Guardians in League of Legends: Wild Rift compared to the PC version is that Ezreal will be available right from the start. Many speculate this is due to Poppy not yet being released in League of Legends: Wild Rift, so Ezreal was chosen to fill in.

According to initial feedback from gamers, these Star Guardian skins are not only as beautiful as the originals but the chibi-style designs are particularly suitable for mobile gaming, especially for shorter champions from the Yordle race like Lulu or Poppy, or those built with a mischievous, rebellious style like Jinx.
The Jinx Star Guardian skin is categorized as Legendary and becomes one of the three most expensive skins in Wild Rift (alongside Dark Cosmic Jhin and Seraphine K/DA All Out), priced at 1325 Wild Cores. Meanwhile, the other four skins are classified as Epic with a price of 990 Wild Cores.

Players will spend around 200,000 – 300,000 VND for each skin. The price of these skins is somewhat higher than that of the PC version of League of Legends, which has led to considerable complaints from Wild Rift players in Vietnam. According to the majority opinion, Wild Rift gamers do not have an adequate income to spend such large amounts, especially among students.
