Recently, Suning unexpectedly announced the recruitment of FenFen – a former player of eStar, who joins the team as an assistant coach. Notably, FenFen is no stranger to SofM’s fans, as he is one of Duy Cau Giay’s closest friends in the LPL.
Although they only played together for a single season (LPL Summer 2019), FenFen and SofM became extremely close friends, almost inseparable during their time together in LNG Esports. In fact, Chinese fans even created special memes witnessing the tight bond between this jungle-mid duo, warning, “Be careful! SofM is about to be taken away!” directed towards two other characters, Lily and… Flandre.
SofM’s girlfriend has even complained several times that this guy FenFen pampers “Little Fat” more than she does, as the former LNG player often… insists on paying for meals and treats her to bubble tea. Therefore, with FenFen reuniting with SofM at Suning, many fans took the opportunity to bring up old stories, playfully warning SofM’s girlfriend to be careful not to lose her boyfriend.
Interestingly, before moving to LNG Esports in March 2019, FenFen had played for Suning for a year and a half, from the second half of 2017 until the end of 2018. Of course, during this period, Suning was still not a prominent name, and it was only after moving to LNG and playing alongside SofM that this player’s talent began to gain recognition, leading to offers from several LPL teams.
