SofM Speaks Out After Causing Surprise in MVK’s Draft Role
Recently, SofM unexpectedly appeared in the draft role for MVK during their first match at LCP 2026. This is also the first tournament where SofM has been registered to return as a professional player. However, in this match, SofM was on stage not to play, but to assist the players in completing the most crucial part of the match. This left the community astonished, as SofM had announced his departure from the coaching role after the conclusion of the 2025 season.

Immediately, before the match even ended, SofM took to social media to address the situation. He explained that the LCP rules allow another member of the team, aside from the five players preparing to compete and the coach present on stage, to participate in the drafting process. The whole team agreed to assign this role to SofM.
Moreover, SofM also confirmed that currently, Gury has reached the Challenger rank while he himself is only at the Master rank, hence he cannot play. While the truth behind this statement is unclear, it can be said that SofM not returning to the keyboard and mouse completely is a matter of the MVK team’s own professionalism.

But SofM Could Return Anytime
In reality, SofM might truly return to the role of a player. But it will be in a match when he feels that both his form and skills are ready. Especially since MVK’s journey in LCP Split 1 this year has just begun, whether SofM plays or not is not yet a pressing issue.

Furthermore, SofM also needs to gradually readjust to the competitive atmosphere, having been away from this intense environment for too long. Surely, no one wants SofM’s return match to be marked by a difficult game or even a loss.
