Yesterday, the LPL community and the League of Legends scene were treated to a duo performance by the “two gods” TheShy and SofM. This marks the first duo of the pair since TheShy became teammates with the “Vietnamese Jungle God” SofM. Although they couldn’t meet at the Weibo Gaming gaming house due to TheShy still being in quarantine, he has begun to practice again and has had initial interactions with his new teammates.

The duo’s stream quickly climbed to the top of Huya in viewership. The average viewership for the “two gods” duo reached over 4 million. This number is nearly 1 million higher than a former teammate of SofM, Zz1tai, whose channel had just under 3.5 million views, placing second right after TheShy’s stream with SofM. The video recording of the entire stream on SofM’s YouTube channel currently has about 77,049 views.

However, despite the impressive viewership figures, the duo’s first outing ended up being… a complete disaster. Nevertheless, it was evident that TheShy has a diverse champion pool. He was able to play Sylas in the top lane, followed by familiar champions like Kalista, Jax, and Yone. With this advantage, it seems SofM will have an easier time in the new season. Although TheShy has yet to show any tank champion alongside SofM, it is certain that the “Vietnamese Jungle God” will no longer have to “headache” over finding a suitable champion with the limited champion pool of his teammates as he did with Bin.

From now until the start of the LPL Spring 2022, TheShy and SofM will have plenty of time to practice together. And certainly, with the talent of both, once they coordinate better, the entire LPL will have to take notice and WBG will truly be a strong contender for titles in the new season.
