In today’s era, games like Esports have become an indispensable part of the entertainment needs of the community. Especially, due to the nature of being a sport, Esports does not discriminate against players. Anyone, as long as they meet the age requirements set by each publisher and have a sufficient gaming rig, can experience Esports.

Notably, in the community of gamers of Esports titles, there are quite a few prominent figures who are very famous in their fields. For instance, superstar Neymar is very fond of games like CS:GO or PUBG, singer Heechul (Super Junior) is a hardcore fan of League of Legends, and Faker… These personalities contribute to the widespread promotion of Esports worldwide.

In Vietnam, there are also many celebrities expressing their passion for Esports, even investing in esports teams. A notable example is actor Huỳnh Phương, who once owned the FTV team, or singer Ngô Kiến Huy, who participated in the SBTC Esports team. Recently, the Vietnamese Esports community welcomed a very famous name – female singer My Tam.

Accordingly, during a meeting with fans, the female singer received a question from a fan about the game she often plays in her free time. Surprisingly, the singer does not play Arena of Valor or League of Legends (the popular games with a huge community in Vietnam) but rather DOTA 2. The singer stated: “At home, I play that game sometimes, you guys. What do you play? Arena of Valor? League of Legends? But I play DOTA 2!”
Singer My Tam also promised that one day she would meet her fans in-game. Additionally, she jokingly mentioned that she tends to be a bit toxic in a fun way whenever she has leisure time with her favorite game.
The singer’s sharing surprised many audiences but also showed her relatability despite being perhaps the most influential female singer in Vietnamese showbiz. After hearing her share, many gamers might be ready to log into DOTA 2 hoping to rank up with their idol.
