DWG KIA is one of the teams that underwent significant changes during the offseason transfer period of 2021. Not only did they part ways with three key players who had risen to glory at the 2020 World Championship, but DK also brought in some talented names who have yet to achieve significant success in the League of Legends scene. As a result, many fans have expressed concerns for ShowMaker and his teammates regarding their chances of winning titles in the 2022 season.
And the reality has proven that ShowMaker’s DK is struggling tremendously. They lost to T1 – their direct competitor for the LCK Spring 2022 championship in both rounds. On March 9th, they will face Gen.G Esports. Although this team is missing Chovy and Ruler, if they make a mistake, DK will still pay a hefty price.
Not only did he fall to his “arch-rival” T1, but recently, ShowMaker was also “mocked” by Perkz. Specifically, during a livestream, the mid laner of Team Vitality unexpectedly came by to “say hello.” Perkz chatted that he hoped to meet ShowMaker at MSI 2022. So if we’re talking, I think Vitality won’t make it to MSI either. I hope to meet RGE at MSI more.”
It remains unclear whether DK or VIT will make it to MSI 2022 as T1 and RGE continue to perform well. But if any surprises happen, the showdown between Perkz and ShowMaker at MSI 2022 will certainly be highly anticipated.
