After a challenging and tough season for both T1 and DWG KIA, they are finally the two names that will compete in the LCK Summer Finals 2021. At this point, it’s hard to find a rival duo with as much history as DK – T1.
In addition to head coach kkOma of DK being associated with T1’s golden age, coach Daeny – who led DK to glory at the 2020 World Championship – also previously coached T1 and has just returned to DK in the role of Analyst. In a pre-finals interview, ShowMaker was asked by a reporter about his feelings going into the LCK Summer Finals 2021 against Faker. The mid laner of DK stated:

Currently, both ShowMaker and Faker are in top form, with one just defeating Gori – the mid laner with the highest MVP points in the group stage, while Faker, along with T1, took down Gen.G – a team that performed excellently in the group stage (only losing to DK) in terms of points. Additionally, both are key players in their teams’ gameplay. It can be said that the outcome of the match will heavily depend on the performance of the current best mid lane duo in the LCK. Regardless of who wins, this will be the most anticipated match at the moment.
