At the World Championship 2022, the ages of the players are a particularly interesting topic. Some names have become quite old, with careers intertwined with the development of League of Legends. Notable examples include Faker, Jankos… However, the following list features the 5 youngest names who will have the opportunity to debut to the League of Legends audience at the upcoming Worlds 2022.

5/ Burdol – 18 years 272 days (DWG KIA – DK)
This is not Burdol’s first World Championship. However, while at Worlds 2021, he was seen as an inexperienced rookie, the pressure is much greater this time. Burdol must prove that he is capable of replacing Nuguri. Especially when Coach Daeny has repeatedly affirmed that Burdol fits his philosophy better, the burden on Burdol’s shoulders is even heavier.
Burdol was born on December 25, 2003. Therefore, at the present time, he is 18 years 272 days old and is the “oldest” in this ranking. In addition, having made his debut at Worlds 2021 under the banner of Gen.G Esports (Gen.G), Burdol is also the only player in this ranking with experience competing at Worlds.

4/ Zeus – 18 years 235 days (T1)
The next name is Zeus – the Top Laner currently playing for T1. It should be noted that the 2022 season is Zeus’ first time in the starting lineup. Previously, he mainly served as a backup for his senior Canna. But even though this is his first appearance in T1’s main lineup, Zeus is currently the most reliable player for this team.
The 2022 Worlds is Zeus’ debut in the main lineup of T1 at this event. The young star of T1 has performed well in the last 2 LCK tournaments as well as MSI 2022. However, Worlds is a completely different environment and Zeus will have to work even harder if he wants to bring glory to T1.

3/ Brance – 18 years 210 days (LOUD)
On this list, for the League of Legends community in general and fans in the VCS in particular, Brance is perhaps the most unfamiliar name. He is part of the LOUD team from the South America region, specifically Brazil. Similar to most of the names on this list, Worlds 2022 is Brance’s first opportunity to participate in an international tournament in the League of Legends scene.
Brance and LOUD are also among the dark horses at the upcoming Worlds 2022. Of course, there will be many who do not highly rate this team. But surely, teams from smaller regions will always hold many interesting surprises for their opponents and the League of Legends audience worldwide.

2/ Shogun – 18 years 176 days (Saigon Buffalo – SGB)
In recent days, the VCS community has been extremely worried as the visa issues of the players had no clear outcome. It was not until September 22 and 23 that fans of League of Legends in Vietnam could breathe a sigh of relief when the VCS players would fully participate in Worlds 2022. Of course, for SGB specifically, the duo Shogun – Taki remains the top support.
Shogun is also the second youngest player participating in this Worlds. Specifically, in 2022, this is already the second major international tournament that Shogun has had the opportunity to participate in. At MSI 2022, he and SGB had an excellent performance. Fans of League of Legends in Vietnam as well as worldwide can fully believe that Shogun and SGB will bring many impressive performances at the upcoming tournament.

1/ Jojopyun – 17 years 357 days (Evil Geniuses – EG)
The youngest player at Worlds 2022 is Jojopyun – the Mid Laner for EG – representing the LCS region. Similar to Shogun, Worlds 2022 is the second major international tournament that Jojopyun has had the opportunity to compete in this season. At MSI 2022, Jojopyun was not particularly outstanding, but he and EG made it to the top 4 teams.
As a young player, Jojopyun has already shown his abilities. At Worlds 2022, EG will certainly need a lot from this young talent in their quest for the title.

Conclusion
The players above are all very young names. Some are the youngest in a seasoned lineup. But there are also those who are among the most important members of a roster full of rising stars. Regardless, when arriving at Worlds 2022, they will all have to give 100% of their ability to achieve the best results for their team and provide the audience with the most outstanding performances.
