In the upcoming 2022 season, Vex – the new champion introduced in the second half of the 2021 season will be featured after appearing in professional matches within the VCS Winter 2021. This champion is a mid-lane mage with a solid crowd control and magical damage skill set. Notably, Vex can counter agile champions that can engage from a long distance.

However, recently, a Reddit user discovered a significant bug with Vex that could clearly affect the outcome of matches. Specifically, as known, Vex’s ultimate mechanism allows it to be reused when a target is eliminated. However, if the ultimate is activated without securing a kill or if Vex is taken down, this ability goes on cooldown. Yet, in the uploaded clip, a player found a bug that prevents Vex’s ultimate from going on cooldown despite the champion using it previously, securing a kill but then getting ganked and dying.
With the appearance of the bug that turns Vex’s ultimate into an URF version, this champion quickly returned to lane and continued to take down the opponent’s Veigar, completely dominating the lane. This shows that the impact of this bug could completely change the course of the game.
Below the post, the online community also mentioned having encountered similar issues with Vex before, and most opinions acknowledged that this is a serious bug. An ultimate can be considered the strongest ability of a champion, and if it has no cooldown, it will undoubtedly make that champion excessively powerful.

With such a severe bug, Riot will definitely have to take immediate action in the upcoming patch. Especially since the 2022 season is approaching, Vex will undoubtedly be a frequent pick in the mid lane for teams.
