Before stepping into the match against DNF, Gen.G was under considerable pressure after suffering a swift defeat to BRO beforehand. Notably, during Gen.G’s domination, there was a moment when Ruler was denied a Pentakill by none other than Chovy in Game 1. Even when the LCK organizers showcased the communication from Gen.G during that situation, only the young Support – Duro suggested that Ruler should get the Pentakill. Therefore, when asked about this situation, Ruler clearly expressed his displeasure and stated that Chovy would have to “pay the price” in the future.
“Honestly, I am usually a quite calm player during matches and don’t often show too much emotion. However, being denied that Pentakill really made me a bit uncomfortable, especially when the other members intentionally teased me this way. I believe in karma, and if Chovy were in a similar situation, I would be the one to deny his Pentakill,” Ruler shared after Gen.G’s victory.
Ruler Breaks a Terrifying “Curse” at LCK Cup 2025
Interestingly, before Ruler used Corki in the match against DNF, this champion had suffered 12 consecutive losses whether played in the Mid Lane or Bot Lane. Many viewers even joked that this champion was “cursed” at the LCK Cup 2025 as it couldn’t secure a victory. However, Ruler’s outstanding performance (including the denied Pentakill) helped Corki achieve its first win and successfully break the “curse” at the LCK Cup 2025.
