There is an issue that few people notice with the AD Carry position: this role is not necessarily weak, but some champions are much stronger when played in solo lanes. For instance, in the past few months, Lucian, Kalista, Vayne, and previously Tristana have shone brightly in solo lanes, leading to situations where you sometimes don’t need to play a pure AD Carry in the bottom lane, as there is already someone fulfilling that role in solo lanes.

This creates diversity in the metagame, but it also causes these champions to stray from the original purpose that Riot Games designed them for. Therefore, in the upcoming patch 10.11, in addition to comprehensive buffs for traditional AD Carry champions, those solo lane champions will also receive buffs aimed at critical hits (the typical playstyle of AD Carries) or damage when paired with supports, allowing them to return to the bottom lane. The details of the patch 10.11 updates were announced by Riot’s Mark Yetter – the project director for League of Legends:

Bottom Lane
Sword of the Divine: Movement speed increased from 5% to 7%.
All items built from Sword of the Divine will have an additional movement speed stat increase of 2%.
Buffs to health for AD Carries (excluding Lucian, Kalista, Tristana, Vayne): Base health increased by 30 points, health per level increased by 2 points.

Power Increases
Lucian: The second shot from his passive now deals 100% critical damage instead of 75%.
Kalista: W – Sentinel damage increased from 10-18% to 14-18% of the target’s maximum health, energy cost reduced to 0.
Tristana: Base attack speed increased from 0.656 to 0.679.
Vayne: Q – Tumble increased bonus damage from 50-70% to 60-80%.
Lucian’s increase in critical damage from his passive shot makes his full crit playstyle extremely powerful. While other champions can only land one shot, Lucian can potentially land two critical hits late in the game, resulting in an enormous amount of damage. Of course, Lucian will only be viable in the bottom lane.

However, the most notable change belongs to Kalista, as the damage of her W ability has been increased, and even the energy cost has been reduced to 0, indicating that Riot wants Kalista players to invest in and utilize this skill, which traditionally only appears in the bottom lane. Meanwhile, the changes to Tristana and Vayne are not particularly significant and seem to keep these two champions viable in solo lanes, perhaps Riot wants to maintain their presence there?

Power Reductions
Graves: The interaction ratio with AD from Q on the first hit decreased from 100% to 80%.
Talon: Q – Noxian Diplomacy increased energy cost to 40, healing from takedowns decreased from 20-71 to 10-71 based on champion level.
Janna: W – Howling Gale reduced damage from 55-195 to 55-175.
Syndra: E – Scatter the Weak increased cooldown from 16-12 seconds to 18-14 seconds.

Power Increases
Fiddlesticks: Now, when Fiddlesticks uses a skill while pretending to be a scarecrow with his passive, he will Fear the target; W – Harvest damage to monsters increased from 40% to 60% of skill damage.
Lux: E – Lucent Singularity will slow enemies for 1 second after exploding instead of 0.25 seconds.

Gangplank: Base attack speed increased from 0.658 to 0.69.
Hecarim: Q – Rampage damage increased from 55-215 to 60-228, damage to minions decreased from 66% to 60%.
Kai’Sa: Q – Icathian Rain increased bonus AD interaction ratio from 35% to 40%. R – Killer Instinct increased range from 1500-2500 to 1500-3000.
