Alongside his illustrious career, Faker is also a veteran League of Legends player who has been with the game for over 10 years. Therefore, it’s not surprising that the “Demon King” faces poor players with bad behavior. On several occasions, thanks to Faker’s complaints, Riot Korea has taken strong actions to address players and competitors with negative attitudes.

However, recently, Faker became a victim of a new terrible “plague” that left him feeling helpless. Specifically, during a recent stream, Faker’s four teammates, who were playing normally, suddenly lost connection entirely. According to the Korean community, they were victims of a DDoS attack from the opposing team aimed at securing an easy victory.

Indeed, even for a great player like Faker, winning a 1v5 scenario is nearly impossible. This has made Faker quite pitiful as he continually gets taken down while being in the base. Furthermore, according to the “Demon King,” this situation has occurred multiple times, not just in a few isolated matches.
“League of Legends is facing many serious issues, and Riot needs to do something as soon as possible. Quite a few people suddenly lose connection, the client is extremely laggy, and many players in solo queue have terrible attitudes. Why don’t they realize that they are creating karma by doing such terrible things? I hope they will recognize this soon, but right now, I am completely at a loss,” Faker shared in a tone of “helplessness” after falling victim to a DDoS attack.

It’s worth remembering that at the beginning of 2023, Riot Games suffered a technical attack that exposed the source code of League of Legends. This caused significant delays in updates for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. It’s likely that this is also the reason why League of Legends is facing other challenging issues, such as advanced cheating software or, most recently, the aforementioned DDoS attacks.

Perhaps Riot has realized this, so they decided to implement Riot Vanguard into League of Legends starting from version 14.4. Hopefully, this will be a solution to address cheating issues as well as help players avoid DDoS attacks like the one mentioned above.
