Legends of Runeterra, or Legends of Runeterra, is a card game developed by Riot Games based on the events and characters of League of Legends. In fact, the key cards of this game feature the most famous champions such as Lux, Ezreal, and Zed… Released in April, though not heavily advertised, it has managed to build a strong fanbase.

The special thing about Legends of Runeterra is that it not only features champions from League of Legends, but also many other characters scattered throughout the world of Runeterra, each possessing great powers and their own intriguing stories. Therefore, many players have speculated that sooner or later, such a character will be brought into League of Legends by Riot Games.

This hypothesis was even asked by players to a representative of Riot Games, receiving a response that excited the gaming community. Specifically, during a Q&A session on VK.com, Riot Games’ representative in Russia, Alexey “Nitraka” Podgoretsky, shared that they would be integrating the skills of some popular cards into League of Legends.

A player asked: “Is there a chance for some characters from Legends of Runeterra to appear in League of Legends? I’m just waiting for a Yes or No answer.”
Rioter Alexey “Nitraka” Podgoretsky: “Yes, soon you will see characters from LoR in League of Legends. However, you will have to wait a while for that.”
One of the standout cards in LoR is Yone, Yasuo’s deceased brother, who has been resurrected in Riot’s card game. This character plays a crucial role in the development of the storyline, the personality, and the appearance of “the one” in League of Legends. Coupled with Riot Games’ confirmation mentioned above, many players have speculated that Yone is indeed the character hinted to transition from Legends of Runeterra into League of Legends.

Additionally, some other choices mentioned by players include Cithria – a heroine from Demacia, or Scarmother Vrynna – the leader of Freljord, Kato The Arm, Shiraza The Blade, and Jae Medarda. Each character possesses distinct personalities and quickly became fan favorites.

In their recent disclosure, Riot Games shared that they aim to introduce at least 6 new champions each year, not including rework projects. Therefore, the chances of characters from Legends of Runeterra appearing in League of Legends are extremely high, and who knows, in the upcoming 2021, we might see Yone duel Yasuo in League of Legends.
