Riot reveals the T1 player who contributed to shaping the style of this year’s Worlds skin
As we know, T1’s 2024 Worlds skin has appeared on the PBE server and is set to officially launch around September. This could be one of T1’s most beautiful skins to date, including the SKT T1 era, if the original visual designs are maintained and Riot enhances the effects. However, the one behind the main concept for this skin line, who provided the idea for Riot to execute, is not Faker – the player with the most Worlds championships in history and the captain of T1. It is actually Gumayusi – the team’s AD carry.

According to Riot, during a meeting with the 5 T1 players, Gumayusi was the one actively proposing ideas. In the revealed clip, Gumayusi shared his ideas with the enthusiasm of Zeus and Faker. In the clip, Gumayusi stated: “The skins have a core color scheme of white and gray. I hope the designs will embody a style like sculptures crafted in Europe.”
Riot acknowledges that Gumayusi’s contributions helped shape the style of this entire skin line. However, Faker, as the captain, also has the responsibility to finalize the style of the Worlds skins. According to reports, Faker wants the 2024 Worlds skin line to “not only celebrate T1’s victories but also allow gamers worldwide to feel this achievement and enjoy it.”
Nevertheless, the T1 Worlds skin 2024 still needs many elements to truly be perfect
Currently, from splash art to in-game design, there is nothing to criticize about the skin line. However, for many viewers, the skins still have several elements that need improvement, such as the Back Recall effect needing to depict the T1 logo more prominently, or the colors possibly needing adjustments to distinguish them from some previous “dark-themed” skins.

Additionally, with images from old concepts being revealed, many fans expressed regret that Keria chose Pyke instead of Renata. And perhaps, T1 needs to win the Worlds this year so that the champions the community hopes for will also have skins worthy of their contributions throughout T1’s historic journey.
