Growing up in the dangerous outskirts of Piltover, Vi had to learn how to steal to grab every bite of food. Her attitude only changed when a mining attack went awry. She was forced to choose between fleeing with her gang or rescuing the workers before the tunnel collapsed. And Vi chose to be a hero.
After this failure, the relationship between Vi and her gang shattered. She returned to being a lonely thief, but now Vi only “visited” the wealth of other criminals. Gradually, her reputation reached Caitlyn, the renowned Sheriff of Piltover. Instead of hunting Vi down, Caitlyn offered the criminal a way to atone: to become the right hand of the law in Piltover.
She accepted immediately. Now, Caitlyn always has to struggle to keep Vi in line, while Vi treats Caitlyn’s orders as nothing more than casual suggestions. Yet, when they act together, every outlaw in Piltover must tremble.
As a “late-blooming” champion in League of Legends, Vi – the Piltover Enforcer possesses undeniable strength. With her powerful focus skills, she is always a nightmare for low-health champions like marksmen or mid-lane mages. What’s even more noteworthy is that in League of Legends, Vi has a rather rugged and somewhat fierce appearance. However, in the cosplay photos below, we see an incredibly hot Vi, rivaling her friend Caitlyn:
Compared to other champions, cosplay of Vi is a bit more elaborate as the process of creating her “gauntlets” took a considerable amount of effort and time to achieve a satisfactory product. The photos above were produced by the CSL team – a leading cosplay team from Korea, and the cosplayer herself shared: “I almost wanted to give up on practicing drawing while working on making a landscape accessory. I failed the first time, so I took it apart and started over… The basic material used was foam, and then I messed up the color, the inside of the arch should be black, pure black, not just regular black, so I had to redo it all again, from the beginning…”
“About 12 models were created, of which we had to eliminate as many as… 6.”
“In the first shot of the armor, the colors of the photo are customized, and the rays and tones are mixed to create a more cohesive feel compared to the original illustration.”
“The gloves and armor of Vi are so massive that we had to break them down into very small parts, cutting – painting – coloring – assembling bit by bit. And as you know, this is a photo set of 2 Vis, not just one.”
CSL is also one of the most meticulous cosplay teams in the current scene, requiring high standards, significant investment, and this Vi cosplay set is no exception. From lighting, model expressions, to color details are all handled meticulously to resemble the original as closely as possible. Naturally, the physical beauty of the cosplayer team members is also beyond question.
