It is known that MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip is one of the most powerful chips in the mid-range segment. With significant performance upgrades, the POCO X6 Pro is not only a great choice for everyday tasks but is also particularly suitable for mobile gamers.

The Dimensity 8300 Ultra is manufactured on a cutting-edge 4nm process, featuring 8 CPU cores (1 high-performance Cortex-X3 core, 3 Cortex-A715 cores, and 4 energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores) along with a Mali-G615 MP6 GPU. Thanks to this architecture, the POCO X6 Pro can smoothly handle all tasks from basic to advanced without consuming too much energy.

With an AnTuTu Benchmark score of around 1.3 million, the POCO X6 Pro can easily compete with rivals in the premium segment. The energy-saving capabilities of this chip are also impressive, allowing the device to maintain a long usage time without overheating while gaming.

Here are the AnTuTu Benchmark and Geekbench 6 performance scores of the POCO X6 Pro: These scores are quite impressive considering the price of this device. If you didn’t know, the top smartphone brand in Vietnam just introduced a smartphone priced at 19 million VND with an AnTuTu score only half that of the POCO X6 Pro.

Real-World Performance on POCO X6 Pro

To evaluate the real-world performance of the POCO X6 Pro, we tested it with three popular games: Liên Quân Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Genshin Impact.

Liên Quân Mobile: At the highest graphics settings (Ultra HD, High quality, 60 FPS), the POCO X6 Pro maintains an average FPS of 60.1 throughout the gameplay, with high stability and almost no FPS drops.

During gameplay, in most cases, the POCO X6 Pro can run smoothly at 60 FPS; only in rare instances of large battles does the FPS drop to around 55 FPS, which does not significantly affect the experience

PUBG Mobile: The game is set to “Smooth” graphics to optimize FPS. The test results show that the device maintains an average FPS of about 89, with high stability throughout the gameplay, providing a smooth experience.

PUBG Mobile graphics can be pushed to HDR Extreme. However, for FPS games, FPS should be prioritized, so you can set the graphics to Smooth for the smoothest experience at 90 FPS

The characteristic of PUBG Mobile is that the fighting time is short, mainly to loot items, so FPS drops are very rare. If there are any, they drop to around 70 - 85 FPS, which is still a very stable FPS for gaming

Genshin Impact: This is one of the “hardware killer” games. With graphics settings at high and a maximum FPS of 60, the POCO X6 Pro achieves an average FPS of 53 – 55, sometimes experiencing slight drops when loading complex scenes, but it does not affect the overall experience. If set to 45 FPS, gameplay is very smooth.

At the set FPS of 45, the device runs smoothly without any frame drops throughout the 30 minutes of gaming. We also tried setting the FPS to 60, but in some cases, it dropped to around 49 - 55; if the device heats up more, the FPS drop rate is also higher

Battery and Temperature

After more than an hour of continuous gaming, the POCO X6 Pro only felt slightly warm near the camera area, demonstrating its effective heat dissipation capabilities. The battery life is also very impressive, remaining over 80% after more than an hour of use, showcasing the energy efficiency of the Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip.

Conclusion

With powerful performance, outstanding energy-saving capabilities, and a smooth gaming experience, the POCO X6 Pro deserves to be the top choice for mobile gaming enthusiasts. The Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip not only helps the POCO X6 Pro compete with its rivals but also delivers high-end performance in the premium mid-range segment.

Not only outstanding in performance, the POCO X6 Pro is also a smartphone that supports various daily usage needs. It features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This display is of very high quality, with thin bezels and an under-display fingerprint sensor. The camera is also a highlight as Xiaomi equips the POCO X6 Pro with a triple camera system: a 64MP wide-angle, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro camera with quite decent photo quality. Additionally, this device also has IP54-rated water and dust resistance.
