Among the 2 new Elemental Dragons in League of Legends Season 12, the Chemtech Dragon is highly rated and has received a lot of support from the players. First of all, it’s because of the stats it provides (cooldown reduction and attack speed) which greatly impact champion strength without feeling unbalanced. Moreover, the Chemtech Dragon map creates Teleport Gates that do not bring the same vision imbalance factors as the Hextech Dragon.

However, this does not mean that the Chemtech Dragon is a perfect product that needs no improvement. Recently, the community discovered that the created Teleport Gates can be completely disabled with just a few wards placed in the right positions. What’s interesting is that these wards come from teammates, which somehow block the player’s ability to click on the Teleport Gate.
Not only wards but also the tentacles created from Illaoi’s passive can completely block the ability to click on the Teleport Gate. Another item with a similar capability is Rek’Sai’s tunnel. Additionally, Shaco’s boxes or Heimerdinger’s turrets also have the same ability to prevent access to the Teleport Gate.
According to bug expert Vandiril, when a ward or any object created by an ally appears in the same spot as the Teleport Gate, the player’s mouse cursor prioritizes clicking on those objects. As a result, even if the Teleport Gate is ready, players cannot click on it.

After this bug was discovered, many expressed concerns for the aforementioned champions as they could see a decrease in pick rates due to this “feature.” Remember that champions like Rek’Sai, Illaoi, Shaco, and Heimerdinger already have relatively low pick rates. If they are “abandoned” because of a game bug, it would be quite unfair to these characters.

Of course, aside from those champions, you can also “screw” your teammates by placing wards directly on the Teleport Gate. Clearly, in a game known for its toxic players, such game-breaking actions are bound to occur. Hopefully, Riot Games will find a way to remove this unreasonable “feature” in upcoming patches.
