Players Discover an Insane Trick in League of Legends: Setting a Teleport Hotkey Can Determine Victory

It's unclear whether this is a trick or a new bug in League of Legends, but setting a hotkey is crucial.

Throughout the history of League of Legends, there have been numerous bugs and tricks that can impact the outcome of matches, discovered by the gaming community or professional players. Some of these issues and tips have been fixed by Riot, but many remain “forgotten” by the developers, perhaps because they deem them unimportant or simply overlooked.

Recently, the League of Legends community discovered another trick that allows players to stack Tear of the Goddess early on. Specifically, a player performed this in practice mode with the champion Ahri (who has a mana bar) and brought the Tear. This player noticed that if they set Teleport to the D key, they could teleport to the Nexus turret at the start of the game and immediately gain 3 stacks on the Tear without any effort. However, if Teleport was set to the F key, it did not work.

The post quickly caught a lot of attention from the international League of Legends community. According to some players’ explanations, the most important feature of the Tear of the Goddess is that it increases stacks when using abilities to attack an enemy. It is believed that this is one of the factors that allows Teleport to help increase the stacks on the Tear. However, no one could explain why this only works when setting the Teleport hotkey to the D key.

Some players jokingly said that this trick (or bug) proves that using Flash on the F key is the absolutely right decision. Because, with Teleport assigned to the D key to gain some early stacks for the Tear, Flash must necessarily be on the remaining hotkey.

It is unclear whether this is a bug or an obscure trick in League of Legends that has only just been discovered. But for champions with a mana bar to cast spells, having 3 early stacks for the Tear even before the match starts can provide a slight advantage, especially in harassing opponents or farming minions.
