Peanut shares future plans after Faker’s message
In 2025, the League of Legends community witnessed many changes and numerous farewells that left fans disappointed. Among these was Peanut’s announcement of retirement to fulfill mandatory military service. Before the 2025 season concluded, Peanut and Faker were the only two players still competing since the inception of the LCK, making their mark in the professional League of Legends scene. However, according to Peanut, the “Little Peanut”‘s plans may change because of Faker.

Recently, Faker left a message for Peanut at an event he attended, stating, “Peanut, come back soon.” During T1’s visit to Vietnam for a fan meeting, Peanut had the opportunity to appear alongside the members of SKT T1 2017 to discuss his career journey and future.
Here, Peanut admitted: “I don’t have plans to return after retirement, but I will keep that possibility open. If the opportunity arises after I complete my duties, it would be amazing to reunite with everyone at the arena. After all, ‘the God has called.'”

But Peanut may find it difficult to face Faker if he returns
In reality, League of Legends changes with each season, and if one has missed the game for over a year, grasping the meta becomes very challenging. Moreover, during a long period without competing, very few players can maintain their peak performance and the feel of the professional environment. Therefore, even if he returns, Peanut may only be able to face Faker in friendly matches, showmatches, or even in a different capacity.

Of course, that is the story of the future. For now, Faker is the last player of the first generation of the LCK, while Peanut must follow his own path amidst the regret of the global League of Legends community.
