Early in the morning on November 8 (Vietnam time), the PBE server was officially updated to version 13.23. This is a very important version as Riot has just reintroduced the Arena mode and launched Season 10 of Teamfight Tactics. With exciting previews prior, Teamfight Tactics Season 10 garnered a lot of attention from the community.
With two significant updates like this, many players were concerned that the PBE server would be overloaded and encounter errors during the 13.23 update. In fact, this occurred as the community reported that the PBE server repeatedly failed to recognize player information. This caused gamers to be unable to log into this server at all.
Even if players were fortunate enough to get past the above error, they still could not experience Teamfight Tactics Season 10 immediately. The reason was that the server continued to experience issues and could not create waiting rooms. Even content creators faced this issue and could only experience a limited number of matches from Season 10 at this time.
Additionally, the Teamfight Tactics community reported many other errors such as being unable to connect to the server, the ‘Play’ button being locked, etc. As a result, despite having a massive number of players on the PBE server, the actual number of matches that took place was very few. This left many players feeling disappointed and frustrated on the first day of Season 10’s launch.
Fortunately, as of now, the connection issues to the PBE server have been resolved. This is truly a commendable effort from Riot Games. Although players still have to spend a longer time than usual searching for matches, at least the experience of Season 10 will be ensured. Otherwise, the first launch day of Teamfight Tactics Season 10 would have truly become a “disaster.”
In summary, Teamfight Tactics Season 10 did not have the smoothest launch as the PBE server faced too many errors. The good news is that Riot was able to quickly resolve these issues and avoid a “disastrous” start for Season 10. Hopefully, in the upcoming testing days, Teamfight Tactics Season 10 will run as smoothly as possible and provide the best experience for players.
