Although not as powerful as in League of Legends, Nautilus in Teamfight Tactics is still an extremely useful unit with a tribe – system that is incredibly perfect and suitable for many team compositions. With the Water – Guardian combo, Nautilus alongside Thresh can provide a quality shield in the early to mid-game, while also supplying energy for your team.

And when the trend of “code manipulation” and granting Nautilus a series of divine powers spread within the League of Legends design team, characters of the same caliber from the Teamfight Tactics team also couldn’t be left out. Of course, they cannot turn this champion into a giant or pull across the entire map, as Nautilus in “auto-chess” does not have those skills; instead, they focused on highlighting the overpowered nature of the Tidebringer ability.

Perhaps there is no need to elaborate too much on this adjustment by Riot Wittrock when he granted Nautilus the ability to knock up multiple targets with the Tidebringer skill, which in the standard version can only control one unit. Now, knocking up the whole team like this really doesn’t let anyone play the game. I can’t imagine how terrifying a Mage – Water composition would be if this became a reality.

Fortunately for the players, this feature is only at the level of a fun experiment; perhaps the design team of Teamfight Tactics wants to show that they also have many crazy ideas that are just as good as the League of Legends team. You can rest assured that this feature will never be tested in actual matches, even on the test server, because it is too “game-breaking” and would cause severe imbalance.
