FPX Doinb, or the “Oddball” Doinb, is one of the most talented mid-laners, distinct from the traditional mid-laners in the LPL. Dubbed the “Oddball” because Doinb has an extremely wide champion pool and a unique item build that few traditional mid-laners can replicate (Ryze with the Glorious Executioner, Nautilus mid, Maokai mid…)

However, no matter how talented they are, every player has their own fears and opponents they “dread facing”. Recently, Doinb went live to watch the finals between T1 and GEN – LCK Spring 2020, where he expressed that if he faced T1, the player he was most worried about was Cuzz, because it’s very hard to predict his movements.

Here are Doinb’s words during the livestream:
This moment, Cuzz’s ganks are so terrifying. Back in 2016 or some other time, he was livestreaming on a platform, back then he wasn’t even a professional player, he was just a streamer.
He livestreamed on a local platform, at that time he played Rek’Sai and even reached rank 1 in Korea.
During that time, I often duo’d with him, this guy was truly incredible, his ganks were crazy.
At that time he played Nidalee, Rek’Sai, and Lee Sin, when he said he would gank, he really did it in the most unexpected way.
I play mid-lane similarly, that’s why I have to ward. Usually, Graves will take the red buff and then go for blue, after taking blue he will head to top lane to gank, but this guy takes the red buff and immediately goes for a gank.
So I’m really worried if I play against T1, I will have to face a jungler like that, I am very concerned about T1’s jungler, this guy.
I remember last year T1’s jungler was Clid, this year it’s switched to Cuzz. At first, many people said they were very worried, fearing that after Cuzz joined T1, the synergy between mid and jungle wouldn’t be as good anymore.
But after the change, they have become much stronger than last year!

Clid has had moments of being a bit clueless, I understand Clid quite well because I have a good relationship with him, we have known each other for about 5 or 6 years. Clid can sometimes be a bit lost, especially when he plays Lee Sin, but Cuzz is just terrifying, others can’t predict what he is going to do. He can come from a strange angle and jump in for a gank, it’s really impossible to predict his movements; many junglers have said it’s very hard to know Cuzz’s path.

Many Vietnamese gamers joked: “This jungle path has been in Vietnam since season 3, bro. Actually, Cuzz learned his ganking from Vietnamese ranks; Diamond ranks in Vietnam usually gank mid at level 2 after taking just one buff.” Others… called on Faker to create memes, however, Faker’s level is unquestionable; everyone feels pressured facing him. What Doinb means is the unpredictability in Cuzz’s jungle style, it feels like you could always find yourself in a 1vs2 situation.
In the latest developments, the Mid-Season Cup will kick off tomorrow, May 28, with T1 facing FunPlus Phoenix in the opening match.
