The player is still competing but has achievements nearly equal to Faker
In the League of Legends scene, if we were to mention the players with the most titles, the name that comes first must be Faker. Not only are his individual achievements remarkable, but Faker also dominates in team achievements, the most glorious and magnificent of which are 10 LCK championships, 4 Worlds titles, and 2 MSI victories, making him the only team from the LCK to win this tournament more than once. It can be said that Faker’s greatness has surpassed the rest. However, in the LCK title category, a surprising name is approaching Faker’s number of championships.

That name is Peanut, the player from Hanwha Life Esports, who, born in 1998, is currently the second player with the most LCK championships, with 7 titles, just behind Faker. Notably, at the age of 26 and still having the opportunity to compete for a long time, Peanut could very well equal Faker’s achievements if T1 does not win any more LCK titles in the future. Peanut’s most recent championship was when he led HLE to defeat his former team Gen.G.

There is still a long journey for Peanut to catch up with Faker
However, in Peanut’s case, he is still only approaching Faker in domestic achievements and is possibly one MSI title behind him. Overall, in his career, Peanut has yet to win any Worlds titles. The last time Peanut had a clear opportunity to win Worlds, he and his teammates performed poorly, ultimately stopping at the semifinals (2022 season).

At the upcoming 2024 Worlds, Peanut’s HLE is rated as the number one seed after unexpectedly clinching the championship against Gen.G. This is another opportunity but also a challenge for Peanut, especially since in the 2023 season, he was eliminated in the quarterfinals despite being considered a championship contender. If he cannot succeed this time, perhaps the LCK titles will only serve as consolation prizes.
