For League of Legends fans, G2 Esports (G2) of 2019 remains a lineup that brought many special emotions. For many fans, it was even the strongest team the LEC region has ever produced, having taken down SKT T1 (the predecessor of T1) multiple times and claiming the MSI 2019 title. Therefore, the members of the G2 2019 lineup are always regarded as legendary players in Western League of Legends.

However, one of the shining stars of G2 2019 – Perkz has unexpectedly found himself embroiled in drama with his managing team. As a result, Perkz has been “kicked” from the official lineup of Team Heretics (TH) just days before the LEC Spring 2024 kicks off. This incident is significant enough to attract attention from the entire LEC region and has been a hot topic of discussion recently.

Specifically, in the early hours of March 2 (Vietnam time), a series of reporters in Spain (the headquarters of TH) revealed that Perkz was relegated to the bench. The reason shared was that Perkz had a serious disagreement with TH’s coaching staff after a period of working together. In fact, Perkz even made some rather unflattering remarks towards the team’s coaches.

In the LEC Winter 2024, this team suffered two swift defeats against Team BDS and SK Gaming, getting eliminated very early from the playoffs. It is worth noting that TH boasts three stars from the G2 2019 lineup (Wunder, Perkz, Jankos), so they received a lot of expectations. This disappointing result may have sparked conflicts between Perkz and the coaching staff. It seems that Perkz officially parting ways with TH is just a matter of time.

To replace Perkz, TH will use a player Zwyroo from the academy team. Furthermore, Perkz is reportedly unable to find opportunities to compete in LEC Spring 2024. The reason being that there is only one week left until this tournament begins, and all teams in the LEC have finalized their rosters.

Apart from his personal skills, Perkz is also a player with great confidence and notable statements. His presence often brings great excitement to the audience as well as plenty of “content” for the tournament. If Perkz ends his career due to the aforementioned drama, it would truly be a regrettable loss.
