The most anticipated match of the LCK Summer 2020 group stage did not go as many viewers hoped, ending in just 2 games with a flawless victory for T1.
Saying that Gen.G was completely overwhelmed by the scoreline might be a bit unfair to this team. In fact, during the first game, Clid and his teammates fully controlled the first 30 minutes of the match, leading in gold, dragon buffs, and turrets.
They even managed to claim the Water Soul in those 30 minutes – a sign of an impending victory. However, T1 demonstrated their experience with a surprising Baron steal, and Gen.G, lacking a player as Rascal had not yet recalled to switch to Teleport, was helpless in contesting the Baron.

Next came Canna’s shining moment with a steal of Kennen’s ultimate and diving straight into 4 opposing players, helping T1 obliterate GEN at the Elder Dragon pit and finish the game.
Losing the first game in such a manner clearly affected the psychology of the Gen.G players, and they easily crumbled in the second game. The defeat to T1 also dropped Gen.G to a tie for 3rd place, sharing the spot with their very opponent, while DragonX remains the highest-performing team with 5 consecutive victories.
