For League of Legends players, the Nexus has always been the most important structure because if it falls, players lose the match. As champions in LoL increasingly deal more damage, keeping the Nexus at a health level that is robust enough to not be destroyed too easily is essential. As we know, for the past few years, the Nexus in LoL has consistently been maintained at 5500 health and regenerates if not attacked.

However, recently, the “bug saint” Vandiril discovered that the Nexus of LoL suddenly had its health reduced to just 3010 points. Additionally, the self-healing effect of the Nexus has also been removed. Not stopping there, the Inhibitors in all three lanes have also had their self-healing feature removed when not attacked by enemies.
According to findings, this new parameter of the Nexus was updated from version 12.6 (on March 30 on the North American server). Perhaps Riot Games wanted to prepare a surprise gift for players on April Fools’ Day, which is why they made this change. As a result, many players have found ways to “one-shot” or destroy the Nexus in just one second.

This has led to Riot Games facing immense criticism from players, especially those concerned about professional tournaments. The reason is that version 12.6 will be applied to the playoffs of the LCS tournament, and further, these changes will also persist into MSI 2022. The change in the Nexus’s health could directly impact the final results of professional matches.

Perhaps realizing the excessiveness of this April Fools’ joke, they hastily released a patch to revert the Nexus’s health back to its original stats. According to announcements from Riot Games, this was an unusual bug that caused the Nexus to have lower health than normal. It remains unclear when League of Legends will finally stop having issues after every update, requiring the community to point them out before Riot fixes them.
