Recently, the League of Legends team Team Flash made a surprising move by announcing the departure of their Support player – Nguyễn “CBL” Võ Thành Luân, ending a two-season bond between the once “one-champ boy” Thresh and the reigning VCS champion:

“SUMMER 2020 TRANSFER!
It will no longer be a case of ‘going to return’ as Team Flash LOL sadly has to officially say goodbye to Nguyễn Võ Thành Luân “CBL”. Joining Team Flash for a short time, CBL has left behind many impressive performances and has often made commentators call out the name of Team Flash’s Support player. Throughout this journey, CBL has also managed to achieve a 3rd place finish in VCS Summer 2019 and most recently, the championship title of VCS Spring 2020.
There have been difficult times and doubts, but CBL has risen above it all to secure his name among the champions. Once again, thank you CBL for all your contributions during this time. On behalf of Team Flash, we wish you much success on your journey ahead.”
With CBL’s departure, Team Flash currently has no Support players left in their roster, and this surprising move almost confirms a 99% chance that CBL’s exit is to pave the way for the blockbuster signing of Palette.

Although he did not perform well in the VCS Spring 2020 tournament, Palette is still considered the number one name in the Support position in VCS. Could this be the reason why FL decided to “sacrifice” CBL – a name that has performed excellently and harmoniously alongside Slayder for the past two seasons, in exchange for the former GAM Esports player?
As for CBL, he probably did not want to accept being benched for his own “defeated opponent” from the last season, so leaving might be the best choice for both Team Flash and this player.
