Viego is currently one of the most “buggy” champions in League of Legends. This champion is not only powerful but also comes with numerous bugs each time he is used, which is why, despite being released a long time ago (since the Pre-Season 2021), Viego is still not allowed in professional tournaments.
With a huge number of bugs, Riot August – the creator of Viego – has received countless complaints from players, both on social media and whenever he plays the game with others. However, August himself has admitted multiple times that he created a champion so “buggy” that fixing one issue would immediately cause a bug in another area.

Recently, August created a ranking of his favorite champions that he has developed over time. According to this ranking, his favorite is Kayle, and at the very bottom, unsurprisingly, is the Ruined King, Viego.

Under August’s post, the community left quite a few comments. The majority believed that August’s ranking was based on the number of hits needed to activate the passive ability, for example, Kayle requires 5, Jhin requires 4… However, others argued that August arranged it this way because he is tired of his “wayward child” Viego, who continuously receives complaints and requires fixes.

On his social media page, August has also received good feedback for creating champions like Jhin, Vi… On his personal page, August has shared multiple times about playing Kayle in-game and acknowledged that this champion is now easier to play thanks to continuous buffs.

Viego is almost certain to continue being absent in Summer 2021, and whether this champion will make it to the World Championship remains to be decided in the future, but at this point, it can be said that even Riot is unsure how to handle their own product.
