In the third match of the game between EDward Gaming and Bilibili Gaming during the second day of the LPL Summer 2020 group stage, there was a significant delay that lasted until nearly 10:30 PM (Vietnam time) before the match concluded with a victory for EDG.
However, aside from EDG’s somewhat expected but slightly difficult victory, the reason for the long delay in game three was what the League of Legends community was most concerned about. Following this, the cause was revealed: Meiko’s Leona was unable to use Magical Flash and had to urgently notify the tournament organizers.

After a long wait, the LPL organizers decided to remake the entire game three, including the champion bans and picks. At the same time, the tournament organizers also banned the use of Magical Flash, at least in game three.
On various forums, many netizens have claimed that this bug is not new, and they have encountered it quite a few times themselves. Moreover, not just Leona, but almost any champion that uses Magical Flash could potentially encounter this bug. According to many players, this bug is quite serious, and depending on one’s “luck,” they might be able to use it once and then it would become unresponsive, or they might not be able to use it at all throughout the match.

A clip from the “bug investigator” Vandiril also pointed out this error. Notably, this bug is not new but has existed for a long time without being addressed by Riot.
Currently, since this bug appeared during game three of the last match on the second day of LPL Summer 2021, Riot has not yet provided any feedback. However, it is very likely that players will have to completely abandon Magical Flash until Riot fixes the issue.
