Karma Top Lane
It may sound quite strange that the Enlightened One, known as a pure Support champion, can also be played in the top lane – which is one of the hardest lanes, requiring high skill and champions that must have a certain level of durability. But since patch 11, with Riot, nothing is impossible.
Karma in the top lane doesn’t build tanky but follows a Support path instead. Items like Everfrost, Moonstone Renewer, Chemtech Putrifier… especially the Moonstone for healing capabilities are essential.

For the rune setup, Summon Aery remains the staple for Mage champions like Karma. Additionally, a bit of sturdiness from the Resolve tree will benefit players in this matchup.
Viego Mid Lane
Upon release, the Ruined King was seen as a jungle champion with an assassin build. However, in the Korean server – the cradle of extremely creative metas, Viego was brought to the mid lane and forced Riot to quickly release a patch due to his overpowering laning skills.

Viego has no fear of any mid lane Mages. His core item will be the Blade of the Ruined King, followed by buying back his own sword, combined with Sterak’s Gage and Titanic Hydra. With these items along with his healing capabilities, Viego is nearly immortal in fights if players enter and exit appropriately.
Vayne with Kraken Slayer
Vayne has made a comeback after being slightly neglected during the Preseason. Notably in the VCS, LCK, and LPL, some players have brought Dark Harvest into certain games and achieved quite good results.
While the Guinsoo’s Rageblade has been slightly adjusted but fits Vayne perfectly, Infinity Edge and Bloodthirster are familiar items, but Kraken Slayer is a twist that will surely surprise opponents. With good healing abilities, Vayne also brings in the Conqueror rune alongside secondary runes that enhance healing, ensuring that your team has an AD carry that survives long in fights, especially towards the end of the game.

Soraka Bot Lane
If Karma can go top, then Soraka can also be creatively played as a Mage in the bot lane.
Still using items meant for Support Mages like Staff of Flowing Water, Moonstone Renewer… but Soraka can hold the lane extremely well with her healing abilities and decent damage output. If paired with other Supports that can also heal, this will be one of the toughest bot lanes to eliminate in League of Legends.

Pyke with Duskblade of Draktharr
Originally a sturdy Support with crowd control and slowing capabilities, who can use various lethality items, but Duskblade of Draktharr will be the Mythic item that makes Pyke perfect.
Using Duskblade of Draktharr combined with E – Phantom Undertow for ganks and ensuring that targets are stunned. Items like Umbra Blade or Night Harvester… as usual, are still very useful. For runes, Pyke should use Aftershock to enhance his durability each time he engages in a fight.
