If you have been involved with the game League of Legends, you are surely familiar with Uzi and Clearlove, two living legends from the Chinese region. Currently, these two legends are still connected to the game, but no longer as professional players. Uzi is currently creating content through live streaming sessions, while Clearlove serves as the manager for the Edward Gaming organization.
Recently, the two living legends from the LPL China’s early tournament have joined the LPL Cares organization as brand ambassadors, an organization established to help those less fortunate. Specifically, the organization’s announcement is as follows:
“We are excited to announce that LPL legend Uzi and Clearlove will become our brand ambassadors (LPL Cares). They will participate in charity events and use esports as a means to create a positive social impact. LPL Cares will work with both ambassadors and use charity funds to assist those in unfortunate circumstances. We hope that you will join us in this mission.”
LPL Cares hopes to collaborate with leagues, teams, professional players, and partners to contribute to society. Since its establishment in 2019, LPL has always been concerned with promoting charitable activities through various resources. Across the country, we have built music classrooms and multi-purpose gyms. We also work with Tencent’s growth platform to build “Future Classrooms.” With the right equipment and training skills, we have been able to apply these technical technologies to rural classrooms.
LPL Cares also contributes to the Chinese Panda Protection Research Center, aiming to protect the environment and conserve wildlife. Additionally, we work with funds to assist children with autism and their families. We also organize competitions to promote awareness among young people. Last but not least, LPL Cares has worked with the Shanghai Athletics Academy to implement health programs for the players competing in LPL to ensure they stay healthy. In our dedication to this journey, we will never stop.
Thus, the League of Legends LPL tournament does not just focus on professional competition; they are beginning to create a certain impact on the community through various charitable actions such as the LPL Cares fund. Such charitable activities will help the community have a more favorable view of the esports field, while also creating a charitable trend for many other organizations, positively contributing to society and helping those in difficult circumstances.
It’s no coincidence that LPL has “chosen wisely” two legends, Uzi and Clearlove. Surely both Uzi and Clearlove are very happy with this new role, as they embark on journeys to give love and receive joy in return. In Vietnam, we also have the Mixi tribe contributing very practical actions for the less fortunate in the mountainous provinces of the North. Therefore, we hope to see more charitable activities taking place worldwide, especially within the League of Legends community. A perfect score for LPL Cares to popularize the charity trend to support the community, enhancing the humanitarian aspect of League of Legends.
