In the history of League of Legends (LoL), there have been numerous teams that have garnered admiration from the community for their remarkable winning streaks. These winning streaks can last from one season to the next, year after year. And while these teams that hold such winning streaks may eventually face defeat, their achievements remain a highlight throughout the development of the LoL scene.

However, if there are teams that hold records for winning streaks, there are also names that the history of LoL “honors” for their… long losing streaks. While this is an achievement no one desires, every time these milestones are announced, the LoL community cannot help but be astonished. Most reactions are simply questions as to why some teams cannot secure even a single win. Moreover, they have no way to rectify their poor performance and do not disband.

Recently, the team V3 Esports (V3) in the LJL (the highest-level LoL tournament in Japan) has caught the attention of the LoL community. Not because this team is dominating the tournament or has a star player. The simpler reason is that V3 is currently holding the “record” for a 35-game losing streak, from Spring 2022 to the present. The 35th loss was recorded on July 24th (Vietnam time) after V3 fell 0-1 to the AXIZ team.

The LoL community is truly surprised by this achievement. Some believe that this team may very well extend their losing streak, especially since the Summer Split still has a while to go before it ends. Additionally, with 35 consecutive losses, V3 has also broken the “record” set nearly 3 years ago by the team Vaevictis Esports (VaeVictis) – a team from Russia.

Perhaps mentioning the name Vaevictis, many LoL fans still remember. This is the team with the worst record in history. Among its members, there are 4 female players and 1 male player. Some of the “achievements” to forget of Vaevictis include: taking 11 games to break the first turret, being taken down an average of 26 times per game… And for those who are unaware, the “record” for the longest losing streak in LoL history was held by Vaevictis for nearly 3 years (since 2019) with a “record” of 30 consecutive losses.

Thus, V3 has officially become the “worst team in LoL history” after breaking Vaevictis’ “record”. This is undoubtedly an achievement no one desires but will “help” V3 be remembered by the community for a long time.
