If you’ve noticed, in recent years, Riot Games has only held one major event each season of League of Legends, complemented by well-invested smaller games or events. Such events in recent years include the Star Guardian and the Spirit Blossom. For the 2022 season, the event that Riot is likely to invest in is the Star Guardian.

Specifically, just a few hours ago, some dataminers discovered the latest images of the Star Guardian event featuring characters such as Akali, Taliyah, and Syndra. With the event’s design and the leaked dialogue, it’s highly likely that this event will adopt the successful formula from the previous Star Guardian event. Additionally, the initial feedback on the design of this year’s Star Guardian event has been quite positive.

Not stopping there, a well-known dataminer, Big Bad Bear, recently released new information indicating that Kai’Sa, Ekko, Rell, Morgana, and Sona will also receive Star Guardian skins. Even a new champion, reportedly a Fighter designed specifically for the Bot Lane, will have a skin from this group. This means that the Star Guardian event will occur about 2-3 patches after the release of Bel’Veth.

Another interesting piece of information revealed by Big Bad Bear is that there will be up to 2 characters, including Ekko and Syndra. Therefore, it can be predicted that this year’s Star Guardian event will last at least 2 patches for players to “grind” missions to earn Mythic Essence. With these developments, we have every reason to believe that the Star Guardian event in 2022 will be the biggest event of the season.
