For many League of Legends players, free in-game rewards are highly anticipated each season. Recently, Riot Games announced the rewards for achieving Honor 5 in the 2020 season, which are… a pack of vibrant colors and an emblem of vibrant colors for the Gray Warwick and Medieval Twitch skins.
Right after learning about this season’s Honor 5 rewards, many players believe that Riot Games is wasting resources creating such ‘lame’ rewards for players. The community hopes that Riot Games will change this by offering a more appealing reward, such as releasing an entire skin line (like the Ranked End of Season rewards). Or at the very least, make the Honor 5 rewards more diverse, for example, allowing players to exchange for a vibrant pack of any skin, any emote, spirit blossom eggs, gemstones,… instead of just a vibrant pack for 2 skins… that no one uses.
Some players defend Riot Games, stating that these are free rewards, so one cannot demand or expect too much. However, these are rewards for players who spend a lot of time on League of Legends and are often honored (and less ‘toxic’), so at the very least, Riot Games should provide a deserving reward for those players who invest a lot of time in League of Legends.
