Items in League of Legends are an essential part as they amplify power and enhance the strengths of suitable champions. For characters who rely on healing as their strength or build multiple lifesteal items, Spirit Visage is an indispensable item as it significantly enhances these effects. In fact, in Season 12, Riot even added a display of the additional healing amount from this item to help players better assess the power of Spirit Visage.

However, recently League of Legends players discovered that Spirit Visage has been bugged for months as it does not enhance healing from total lifesteal effects. What’s notable here is that when players tested it, they found that the healing enhancement ability is not bugged because the “Revitalize” rune providing this effect still works normally. Therefore, the issue must lie with Spirit Visage as it does not function as intended.

Buying Spirit Visage does not enhance healing from total lifesteal.
Spirit Visage has been bugged for months, but no one has noticed. This item does not enhance healing from total lifesteal stats at all. I discovered this odd interaction since patch 12.1, but it might have existed since patch 11.23 when Spirit Visage had the additional healing display added.
In all tests, I used Bloodthirster and Goredrinker to achieve 20% total lifesteal. In the first test with 20% total lifesteal and Spirit Visage, this item did not enhance healing. Then I didn’t buy Spirit Visage but used the “Revitalize” rune, and it enhanced healing. When I used both Spirit Visage and the “Revitalize” rune, I discovered that the item had no effect, but the rune did.
In summary, this is an issue with Spirit Visage, while the “Revitalize” rune works normally.
Essentially, this bug makes champions who depend on total lifesteal stats, like Aatrox, extremely weak in the late game. The reason is that you spend a significant amount of gold to increase healing but receive no effect from it. Although the healing increase is only capped at 25%, it can make the difference between survival and being taken down.

Moreover, it would be unreasonable for an item described as increasing healing to not work on total lifesteal stats. Hopefully, Riot Games can fix this bug as soon as possible. Generally, the magic resist items in Season 12 are not too strong, and it would be unfortunate if one of them became weaker due to a game bug.
