Since Sett’s release, League of Legends has not welcomed any new champions, instead, we have seen two spectacular revamps of Fiddlesticks and Volibear. However, in recent actions from both Riot Games and the community, more evidence has emerged suggesting that the new champion is a Vastaya, part human and part deer, named Lilia.

Firstly, about a week ago, two voice lines from Thresh and Karthus interacting with the new character named Lilia were found on the PBE server. Many will speculate that this champion will originate from the Shadow Isles, and all theories are possible since we have no information about the appearance of the new character.
However, Lilia’s image has recently leaked on Reddit and was promptly removed, leading people to believe that this is not fan art but the actual background of the new champion.

A detail that makes people believe this is the real background is the lantern on the staff; it resembles the item called “Lilia’s Haiku” found on the PBE. Previously, an item named “Sett’s Calling Card” appeared on the PBE, signaling Sett’s arrival, and it later became a symbol for Sett’s passive ability. It’s very likely that Riot will do something similar with Lilia?

Additionally, during the Anime Expo event held yesterday, Riot Games also revealed the name of a new skin series called Spirit Blossom. Accompanied by images of a lotus flower and a sacred forest characteristic of Ionia, this will likely be the centerpiece of the gigantic Summer event that Riot has talked about extensively before.

With the tradition of releasing new champions alongside events and new skin lines, the likelihood of Lilia being part of the Spirit Blossom skin line is extremely high. Recent cases include champions like Senna with True Damage, Aphelios with the Star Guardian, and Sett with the Battlecast skin, for example.
