Since the launch of Sett, League of Legends has not welcomed any new characters, instead, we have seen two remarkable reworks of Fiddlesticks and Volibear. However, in recent moves from both Riot Games and the community, more evidence has emerged suggesting that the new champion in League of Legends is a Vastaya who is half human and half deer, named Lilia.

Firstly, about a week ago, two voice lines of Thresh and Karthus interacting with the new character named Lilia were found on the PBE server. Many will assume that this champion will emerge from the Shadow Isles; any hypothesis is possible since we do not yet know the appearance of the new character.
However, Lilia’s image was recently leaked on Reddit and was immediately taken down, leading people to believe that this is not fan art but rather the actual background of the new champion.

A detail that makes people believe this is the real background is the lantern on the staff, which resembles the item called “Lilia’s Haiku” found on the PBE. Previously, an item called “Sett’s Calling Card” appeared on the PBE and signaled the arrival of Sett, later becoming a symbol for Sett’s passive. It is very likely that Riot will do something similar with Lilia?

Not only that, during the Anime Expo event held yesterday, Riot Games also revealed the name of a new skin line called Spirit Blossom. Accompanied by this was the image of a lotus flower and a sacred forest typical of Ionia. This will likely be the centerpiece of the massive Summer event that Riot has talked about extensively before.

With the tradition of releasing new champions alongside events and new skin lines, the likelihood of Lilia being part of the Spirit Blossom skin line is extremely high. Recent examples include Senna with the True Damage group, Aphelios the Star Guardian, or Sett with the Battlecast skin, for instance.
