Recently – PawN, the former world champion of 2014, unexpectedly revealed on his personal streaming channel about his plans to return to professional play, just after less than a year of announcing his retirement.
He mentioned that even though he has stepped away from the professional League of Legends scene, he has always been striving to improve his health condition, with the hope of being fit enough to compete again.

“Everyone is wondering if I will return or not.
My plan is to lose weight to around 70 – 80 kg, treat my herniated disc and back injuries. I aim to overcome obsessive-compulsive disorder and maintain my personal performance.
Since I am not required to perform military service, I still have 1 to 3 years to consider slowly. Thank you all.”
At the end of September 2019, PawN announced his retirement after a long struggle with injuries and mental health disorders. PawN was confirmed to be suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder and often fell into a state of confusion and anxiety, which prevented him from focusing on competition. Additionally, this player also suffered from injuries related to his spine.

Health issues prevented PawN from making any significant impact during KT Rolster’s Summer Split 2018 championship run, and he even failed to make the roster for the 2018 World Championship.
The latter half of PawN’s career can be said to have been completely ruined by injuries; however, it seems that this former player still has a strong desire to compete professionally. Nonetheless, being 23 years old this year and still needing more time to address his health issues, it will be very challenging for PawN to return to the professional arena with convincing form.
Many fans believe that it would be best for him to return in a new role, such as a Coach or Commentator, rather than longing for professional play while his health conditions do not allow it.
