In League of Legends, there have always been numerous bugs that have persisted since the game was officially released to gamers worldwide. Some bugs are so minor that only players who experience them can notice. However, there are also extremely serious bugs that can become a “hidden feature” altering the course of matches. But one fact remains: Riot is often quite slow in addressing these issues, leaving the gaming community frustrated.

Recently, a player discovered a very serious bug related to the interaction between Sett and Tahm Kench. When Sett uses Arena of Destruction on an enemy who is an ally of Tahm Kench and at the same moment, Tahm Kench uses Devour on this ally just as Sett lands, the bug will immediately occur. When Tahm Kench spits out the ally he just swallowed, instead of functioning normally, the champion will literally cling to Sett. Notably, even after being taken down and respawning, the champion will still be unable to detach from Sett.
At first glance, many might think this bug is unlikely to occur, but in reality, it is very likely to be common, especially in professional matches. This is because both Tahm Kench and Sett are very hot champions right now. In fact, in major tournaments like LCK and LPL, Tahm Kench is one of the champions frequently used by supports like Keria and Lehends. Just in the LCK Spring 2022 group stage, Tahm Kench appeared in 65 matches (either banned or picked), while Sett was at 20 matches.

Perhaps, now that the League of Legends community has raised concerns about this bug, Riot will need to act quickly. The most important matches of the season are approaching, with the LCK Spring 2022 Finals just around the corner. If Keria or Lehends choose Tahm Kench and Sett is present, it’s very possible that a historic match could be ruined just because of a ridiculous bug in Riot’s national MOBA game.
