If you’re a player who lacks confidence in laning, you can use these unique champions. Their strength lies in the ability to “struggle early game” while still gaining power at an incredible pace.
Here are champions with extraordinary power late game even after a terrible start:
Kassadin

Kassadin is often chosen to face other mages in the mid lane. He can have an extremely favorable laning phase thanks to his spell shield from Null Sphere (Q) and lifesteal from the Sorcery rune. However, if you make mistakes and get killed a few times, don’t worry too much, as Kassadin’s power will skyrocket late game.
In the mid-game phase, no matter how behind you are, as long as you get two items, Rod of Ages and Archangel’s Staff, Kassadin can still fulfill the role of both a mage and an assassin, ready to burst down the enemy’s carries.
Even in team fights, Kassadin can still prove his strength by disrupting the enemy formation. With Riftwalk (R), Kassadin can jump straight into the enemy’s backline to burst down a target and then activate Zhonya’s Hourglass, waiting for teammates to arrive. The nature of Kassadin not only provides him damage but also a lot of survivability from health (Archangel’s Staff), armor (Zhonya’s Hourglass), spell shield from Q, and reduced magic damage taken (passive),… Therefore, this Void champion has immense power in the late game despite a weak early game.

Irelia

From the early game, Irelia’s damage is already substantial with the Conqueror rune + her Ionia Spirit passive. While laning, if she lands just one stun, Irelia can easily take away 200-300 health from her opponent.
In the mid to late game, even if Irelia has fed a few kills beforehand, her damage remains incredibly difficult to deal with. The gameplay of skilled Irelia players is exceedingly annoying; if the enemy builds armor, Irelia will opt for Blade of the Ruined King, and with the magic damage from Blade + her passive, Irelia’s auto-attacks can finish off opponents in 1v1 duels. Conversely, if the enemy builds magic resistance, Irelia simply opts for Blade of the Ruined King to deal physical damage that counters her opponents. This mixed damage source is the most terrifying aspect hidden within Irelia’s blades. Especially with Flawless Duet (W), Irelia can skillfully block the biggest damage sources from her enemies, not needing to build defensively too early.

Fizz

First, speaking of Fizz’s gameplay, many players choose to play aggressively in the early game. But even if they fail in those trades and get killed multiple times, Fizz is still a very dangerous champion in the later stages.
In the mid-game, even if behind, Fizz’s skill set can pull him back into the game in an unbelievable way. Notably, his E skill—often complained about by the community for being both a wave clear and a defensive skill—also has the highest damage among his QWE skills. Thus, Fizz can clear waves with E + Hextech Rocketbelt combo to roam instead of facing an opponent who is stronger than him. Diving towers isn’t difficult with Fizz’s E skill.
In the late game, Fizz can maximize the use of Chum the Waters (R) since it has just over a 40-second cooldown; if it lands, he can engage and then escape. At this point, Fizz can freely initiate fights with his teammates or pick off a target. Finally, like Kassadin, Fizz can disrupt the enemy team with the Hextech Rocketbelt + QE + Zhonya’s Hourglass combo. If the enemy focuses too much on Fizz, his teammates will do the rest, while if they neglect him, Fizz can delete their main damage dealer in an instant.
