Following the conclusion of the 2020 World Championship, with DAMWON Gaming emerging as champions from the LCK, Korean fans have passionately discussed which players are at the top of League of Legends in Korea. Here are the opinions that have garnered the most agreement and widespread sharing:
Top Lane

Nuguri is widely recognized as the number one top laner in Korea. However, many Korean fans believe that TheShy is still the best player despite his recent slump. Canna is rated as only slightly behind Nuguri, but Canna excels in playing from a losing position better than Nuguri.
Korean fans are vigorously debating whether T1 should buy Nuguri to go all-in for the 2021 World Championship or keep Canna in the lineup. After all, Canna is a younger rookie compared to Nuguri, and he has the potential to catch up to Nuguri’s level next year.
Jungle

While Canyon is considered the current number one jungler by many, Tarzan is also viewed as a strong contender. Fans believe Tarzan should reunite with Chovy to test their skills at the 2021 World Championship.
Mid Lane

BDD: Although he has not had impressive 1v1 performances, BDD is regarded as one of the most selfless players for his teammates, being a reliable player with a strong mindset. Many believe BDD is better than Chovy (as he has won 2 LCK trophies), but ultimately, BDD is currently ranked as the fourth best mid laner in Korea.
Clozer: In the eyes of fans, this young rookie is in a dilemma, as Clozer has the potential to become one of the top players in the world but is on a team with… Faker, meaning Clozer may not have many opportunities to play as he desires. Korean fans are discussing whether it’s best for Clozer to stay with T1 or for T1 to loan Clozer out so he can gain more playing time.
Faker: He remains a highly regarded name and is not harshly criticized despite some poor performances. Korean fans believe that his low form is merely a sign of age, and Faker is still the best player as he has won numerous championships with various teams over the years. Fans think T1 should find a good jungler for the Demon King (they want Kanavi or Tarzan) so that Faker can focus more on the mid lane rather than having to spread his attention across the entire map. They want Faker to win the World Championship once more before retiring.

On Chovy’s side, many consider him the number one player in the world due to his superior laning ability and skills based on minion stats, solo kills, etc. While ShowMaker is surrounded by top-tier players in the LCK (as well as the world) and doesn’t have to worry about other lanes, Chovy, on the other hand, has to play with an “invisible” jungler and an average top laner in Doran, making every game feel like 1v9 for Chovy.
Conversely, many argue that ShowMaker is currently the best mid laner simply because he just won the World Championship, and they counter that how can a player with no championships be considered the best (as shown by the trophy count in the image above).
Bot Lane

GEN’s Ruler and T1’s Teddy are rated the highest. Many fans believe Teddy appears to be underperforming compared to Canna because T1 wants to play around Canna, not giving Teddy as many resources to carry like Ruler (the main carry) at Gen.G. Deft is also a very impressive name and has exceeded Korean fans’ expectations considering his age and current health condition.
Support

DWG’s Beryl is rated as the best this year, but Korean fans believe DRX’s Keria will surpass him next year. Being only 18 years old and already possessing top-tier skills among current supports, Korean fans think T1 signing this young talent would be the best thing for the team in the upcoming season.
