Kiaya’s talent is abundant but still not enough
Recently, a commentator from VCS remarked on his potential to go abroad during a stream, stating that the top laner of GAM Esports has a bright chance. However, this is considering only his talent. In reality, this has been a topic of discussion among experts and the community numerous times. But as of now, the 2001-born player of GAM remains a key player for the black and gold team. Moreover, there are no signs that he will be going abroad in the upcoming year.

Kiaya has plenty of talent, and he has showcased this clearly in the GAM jersey, both in VCS and at international tournaments. However, Kiaya’s biggest weakness is his communication skills, specifically in foreign languages. If he were to go abroad, he would face significant challenges in learning a new language. Without the ability to communicate, even with superior skills, it’s hard to survive. The recent case of Tlong is a prime example.

Additionally, there are skills required for Kiaya to live abroad. Since he began his professional career, he has been a member of GAM. If he were to leave his current environment, there’s a chance he would have to start over in a completely unfamiliar place, with differences in culture and language. Just this alone could affect his mentality and potentially lead to a “domino effect” that disrupts his gameplay.

Perhaps there will never be a scenario where Kiaya goes abroad
Besides the difficulties regarding soft skills and language, Kiaya and GAM likely share a deeper relationship than just player and team. At GAM, Kiaya has teammates who understand his playstyle and a familiar environment. Furthermore, this is the place that has nurtured and developed Kiaya into who he is today. Therefore, the intention to leave GAM seems non-existent for Kiaya, let alone going abroad.

While in VCS, Kiaya may struggle to advance beyond the group stage in international tournaments, this is something that cannot be predicted. And who knows, in the future, Kiaya might lead GAM to achieve remarkable things in international competitions and have a career as great as his elder brother and close teammate Levi has had and continues to have.
