In the Vietnamese League of Legends (LoL) community, there is a name that has been associated with ongoing penalties and endless drama. In fact, he is the first player in the Vietnamese LoL scene to receive a Global Ban – the heaviest penalty that Riot can impose on a character from its community LoL. That person is Zeros – a character once considered a genius Top laner that VCS has produced.

After countless troubles since being Global Banned, Zeros has been quieter and focused on ranking activities. Of course, even when livestreaming gameplay, he still can’t escape trouble. Not long ago, Zeros had his contract terminated by the livestream platform Nimo for unclear reasons. Additionally, despite climbing to Challenger in Korea twice, both times his accounts were locked by Riot. The cause is believed to stem from Riot’s account restriction policy implemented after numerous toxic incidents recorded in the Korean server.

A few days ago, Zeros was seen continuing to battle in Korean ranks with an account named “Trình Hơn Khan”. Perhaps for VCS viewers, this phrase is no longer unfamiliar. Back in Zeros’ heyday, he was highly praised by his former coach Tinikun. In fact, the coach even referred to him as the Top laner “better than Khan”. It should be noted that this compliment later became a topic of mockery within the LoL community directed at Zeros.

However, “short-lived joy is not worth a damn”. Just shortly after announcing that the account “Trình hơn Khan” achieved Grandmaster rank, right after changing its name to “Global Ban Zeros”, the account of the former star of SBTC Esports was immediately banned for 14 days. The reason, according to Riot’s announcement, is that Zeros’ account violated “improper behavior in game and affected teammates”. Zeros’ ban will last until September 27, 2023.

Zeros’ latest penalty has left even his fans feeling perplexed. But in this situation, when Riot itself issues the penalty and fans are already accustomed to Zeros losing accounts, most of his fans can only comfort their idol. Zeros himself is probably too exhausted and frustrated, as he has also stopped livestreaming up until now.
