Gumayusi Gave a Warning but HLE Remained “Stubborn”
In the professional League of Legends scene, there are always players who boast champions they not only feel most confident with, but also champions that, when picked, almost guarantee a win rate of up to 90%. Currently, examples include Gumayusi’s Varus, Faker’s Azir, and especially Keria’s Bard. However, even when warned, HLE still sought ways to counter Keria’s unique champion.

Specifically, an image from HLE’s mic-check during their match against T1 has been revealed, and of course, fans of this team as well as fans of each player quickly translated these dialogues. Notably, among them, Gumayusi “jokingly” remarked after the entire team lost to T1 in the decisive game: “See, I told you not to let Keria get Bard.”

From here, many viewers were very entertained after the mic-check was revealed. According to many opinions, Gumayusi understands Keria’s Bard better than anyone else in the HLE lineup, and perhaps when facing T1, the “Orange House” should actually consider and listen to more of Gumayusi’s contributions. Not to mention, it’s not just during the T1 – HLE match in the LCK Cup 2026; since 2024 it has been proven that Keria is indeed an incredibly formidable Bard player. This champion in the hands of T1’s Support does not only protect the ADC but truly paves the way for T1’s victory.
– Gumayusi is the one who understands Keria’s Bard the best
– It turns out Gumayusi did say it, and HLE didn’t listen
– Especially against T1, they should listen to Gumayusi

But perhaps Gumayusi and HLE also want to counter Keria’s Bard
Perhaps, HLE just wants to find a way to counter Keria’s Bard since they certainly cannot ban this champion forever. However, in the context that HLE is not yet fully cohesive, this choice did not help the “Orange House” achieve victory. In fact, it might be better to just ban Keria’s Bard in BO3 matches.
