SofM (real name Lê Quang Duy) is one of the most famous and successful gamers in Vietnam. In the community of League of Legends (LoL) in Vietnam, this 1998-born player is the number one name due to his special talent. For this reason, SofM quickly went abroad to compete in LPL – the Chinese League of Legends tournament and became one of the top junglers in this fierce competition.

Not only that, SofM’s name is widely recognized around the world, especially for his achievement of leading Suning Gaming (now Weibo Gaming) to the finals of the 2020 World Championship – the most prestigious League of Legends tournament in the world. His talent is already outstanding, but many are curious about SofM’s income.
Accordingly, in 2020, the League of Legends community in the country was extremely shocked by the news that SofM received a salary of no less than 20 million Chinese Yuan, equivalent to 65.7 billion VND/year. This also means that playing games allows him to earn about 5.5 billion VND each month, an unbelievable figure for many. However, as a top player and runner-up of the World Championship, this is definitely a deserving amount. Furthermore, this salary of SofM is still not the highest, as there are many top LPL players with much higher earnings than him.

With 6 years of competing abroad in the LPL, SofM has accumulated a significant amount of wealth, but he still lives a very ordinary and simple lifestyle. He is very private about his income and personal spending is quite frugal. The only thing that SofM tends to spend a considerable amount of money on is topping up games to satisfy his passion for different titles.
Recently, SofM became a “boss” when he and Bomman invested in the Vikings Gaming project in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a modern gaming center with over 180 machines. This project has also gained special attention as both owners recently experienced significant events in their personal lives. Bomman had a special wedding with MC Minh Nghi, while SofM successfully proposed to his girlfriend Lily, hinting that a grand wedding may not be far off.

Currently, SofM is still a prominent name in the LPL, but with the harsh realities of Esports, it seems his peak competitive time may not last much longer. Therefore, it is likely that SofM will return to his hometown in Vietnam soon to undertake projects that he has long cherished after many months of accumulating experience abroad.
